We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. You will work closely with clients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being
  • Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Support clients in developing and maintaining life skills, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and budgeting
  • Assist with medication administration and health monitoring as required
  • Facilitate community participation and social inclusion for clients
  • Implement individual support plans and document progress and observations
  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with clients, families, and other support professionals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and support for clients
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines, including occupational health and safety requirements

Requirements:

  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide person-centered care and support
  • Understanding of disability-related challenges and needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent (mandatory)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check (or willingness to undergo)
