We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team. As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of tiles on walls and floors.

You will work on a range of residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and mark surfaces to be covered and calculate the number of tiles required
  • Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive
  • Cut and shape tiles using hand tools or tile-cutting machines
  • Mix and apply adhesive to secure tiles in place
  • Level and align tiles using various techniques, including spacers and straightedges
  • Apply grout and finish joints to ensure a neat and uniform appearance
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards
  • Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting tile plans and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of different tile types, adhesives, and grouts
  • Ability to use tile-cutting tools and equipment effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willing to obtain one

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plans
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures, components, and equipment according to specifications
  • Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure welded components meet standards
  • Assist in the design and modification of metal products, if required
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times
